I have battled over the years with Food. Like many people I use food as both a celebration of the good times and a way to comfort myself in the bad. I think it’s human nature BUT in your journey of self development it’s so important to take care of yourself from the inside out, it’s what will enable you to do all the things you need and want to do.
The main thing to realise is that we are all different. That eating plan your friend is on may not suit you.
So, if you haven’t done it already it’s time to learn what food makes your body feel good and learn what doesn’t. Make sure you’re getting as many vitamins and nutrients as you can so choose quality foods, limit the processed stuff and pay attention to what’s going in your trolley amd lets not forget, drink plenty of water.
You know yourself better than anyone so play to your strengths. If you know you make a mean pack up then prep those bad boys without fail.
A quick step back to one of my previous posts I must reitterate that your mindset is crucial. Stop thinking that turning down that MacDonalds is somehow depriving you of something, instead think of that amazing food you get to enjoy instead and not only that, think how it makes your skin feel with all that water and remember how easy going to the bathroom is or how little heartburn you get when you’ve eaten the right things.
Eat for smarts. Eat for energy. Eat for nutrition. Eat for the joy of fuelling yourself well to achieve all of these amazing things you want to do in this life.
Find your own good fuel system and stick to it. Tweak when you’re hormonal, ill or hurt and be reasonable. Enjoy a slice of birthday cake but don’t gorge on the whole think and make yourself feel bloated and sick. Nobody wants to train for a marathon when they feel that way and this life of yours is a marathon, you’re training it everyday!
